Pontoon of NAV
2003/4 type consists of a steel frame structure, concrete lift elements and walking structure made of hard wood. Pontoon characteristics are determined on the basis of a calculation, i.e. tests of navigability, stability, strength and anchorage. Pontoons are used for making floating piers in marinas and berths whose primary function is to be used for tying boats. Other applications of pontoons, and consequently of floating piers also, is the passage for boat crews between the land and boats and it enables water and power supply on boats.
Basic pontoon dimensions are:
length / 11,25 m
width / 2,49 m
height / 1,00 m
draft / 0,3 m
the mass of lift elements / 2,400 kg
the mass of bearing structure / 820 kg
the mass of wooden walking structure with fenders / 600 kg |

|
| Bearing frame structure |
| Bearing frame structure of a pontoon is made of welded steel
structure, transversally and longitudinally reinforced on many places. The materials used in construction are steel profiles and sheets. On the bearing construction there are spots made for the installation of lift elements, wooden walking structure and pontoon equipment. Fastening connections are made by bolts. On the corners of transversal end sides beckets for anchorage are installed. Elements of the bearing structure are made of structural steel S.0461. After the construction, assembly and welding, the bearing frame structure is hot galvanized with one dip. Before the anticorrosive finishing (hot galvanization), the bearing structure is completely finished. |

| Lift elements |
Basic dimensions of lift elements:
length
/ 1,5 m
width
/ 2,4 m
hight
/ 0,8 m
Each pontoon, except for the bearing frame structure, also consists of three
lift elements of the aforesaid dimensions that are connected with the said structure. Lift elements are made of styrofoam (polystyrene) with density of 15 kg/m3 plated with thin sheets of concrete of great strength, with reinforced polypropylene fibers and watertight feature, i.e. it includes additives ensuring watertightness. |

| Durability, assembly and maintenance |
| Pontoon NAV
2003/4 is one of the best-designed pontoons for the construction of floating piers in marinas. Projected durability is up to 30 years with minimal additional works. Floating piers enable continued water supply lines and electrical installations without special section couplings and easy
assembly of the same. |

|
| |
| Section couplings |
| Flexible section couplings are made of solid
rubber and bolts from stainless steel. Ensuring the safety of the structure, they prevent vertical and side movement of the sections but at the same time they allow vertical movement under a certain angle. These couplings do
not conduct sound nor vibrations. . |

| Projected hight of waves |
| Projected height of waves is 560
mm, (it can be even greater if necessary). |
